As times and technology change...so have we. We have consolidated five businesses under our new corporate name, Full House Marketing and Print, emphasizing our evolution to a truly full-service marketing and promotions company.
Our Company Timeline
2007 to Present
In 2007, Tom Kunkel started his own marketing company relying on outsourcing many projects and services. In 2008, he teamed up with Shirl Fitzpatrick and 2K Marketing was born. For over 7 years, 2K Marketing worked on a variety of projects with local Harford County businesses and organizations from video, print, web, signs, consulting, and apparel. While we were able to offer a variety of services, we had little control over the jobs, turnaround times and pricing. We realized we needed to have brick and mortar, with equipment and skilled staff, to truly reach our potential.
We found our home by purchasing Minuteman Press, a local copy/print shop in Bel Air, MD. Tom became a Duct-Tape Marketing Authorized Small Business Marketing Consultant by attending and completing an intensive training program. This gave us a strong framework to build our marketing business around.
Acquired Full House Press, Inc., a seventeen year old company with a full print production facility located behind the Harford Mall. Full House Press was the premier local print company in the area, with connections with the entire county. 2K Marketing, Minuteman Press, and Full House Press became one company, Full House Marketing and Print.
We created The Local Deal a local mailer targeting Harford and Baltimore County. Each direct mailer is sent to 10,000 residences and businesses in the targeted area. Over 24 issues are mailed per year, with a high percentage of advertiser renewal.
We added the purchase of a local embroidery and screen printing company, as well as joined forces with an apparel industry veteran, Dale Green. We now had the ability to produce a screen printed and embroidered apparel in-house, with the ability to produce lower quantities and shorter turnaround times.
We organized our web marketing division, headed by Shirl Fitzpatrick, while adding personnel and additional software. Building on our 3 year history of being an Adobe Business Catalyst partner, are have become Google certified, a Constant Contact Partner, a LocalVox partner, a Hootsuite Partner, Yext certified, and Google Adwords certified. Our expansion of Web Marketing services are the future of the company.
We were fortunate to have Dennis Prematta, a mail and print industry professional, added to our staff. With the addition of new mailing equipment, we increased our mailing and variable data capabilities. We also invested in upgrading the vast majority of our equipment, including two (2) new Canon Digital Presses, mailing and finishing equipment and software.
We moved our main print production facility to a larger facility in Edgewood, Maryland. With over 6,000 square feet of production space, and expanded equipment. This increased our efficiencies and our print capabilities and capacity. We now also offer fullfillment and pick and pack programs.
Acquired the assets of Master Graphics, Inc., a long standing provider of print services in the region. We had agreed to merge operations with Mastergraphics, but with the tragic passing of the Principal, Ed Lally, Full House acquired the assets and began servicing MasterGraphics accounts.
Acquired Crystal Signs & Prints in Cambridge Maryland. This full service sign shop has a wide variety of equipment and will perform much of the sign work for the other locations in the company. Mark Christ stayed on and became manager of the location, along with all of the staff. The location provides large format printing, engraving, electrical signs, trophies & awards, vehicle wrapping and other services to the Eastern Shore. The location also serves as a sales point for printing, copying, apparel, and web solutions.
Added a USPS Contract Postal Unit to our Bel Air location. This retail CPU will provide the majority of the postal services at a more convenient location with expanded hours. We will be open Monday-Friday from 9am -6pm, and Saturdays from 10am-2pm. There will be expanded hours during the holidays.
Added a Halm SuperJet offset high speed press. This press will allow us to run large volume envelope and print jobs at a much higher speed with excellent quality and quicker turnaround.
